Five Ways on How to Spice Up Your Bedroom

Five Ways on How to Spice Up Your Bed

After a few years of being with your partner, the passion would fade and it will take a few tricks up your sleeve to keep the spice up and running. And you can start it off in the bedroom! I’m sure a lot of you are wondering how to spice up your bedroom for you and your partner to have a hot night together.

Here are the five effective ways to help keep your relationship in bed hot and awesome!

1. Changing Your Bedding

Let’s face it: Who gets hot after seeing dirty or tough sheets that need to be washed? If your sheets look old and worn out, it’s time to change it with something soft and cozy. Start investing in a softer mattress, comfortable bamboo sheets, or pillowcases made out of silk for a fun time. And hey, it won’t only improve your sexy time in bed, but you’ll have a better rest after doing the deed, thanks to the plush materials.
Also, do NOT buy white sheets. They will stain! Consider investing in brown or green tones for the relaxing and earthy tone. Or, make it extra hot with red sheets!

2. Play With Lighting

Lighting is key to romance, and the warmer, the better (if you’re like me, I hate the white light, it kills the mood). Invest in a dimmer and play with your lights, opting for warmer tones and colors to still see each other but maintain the sexy mood. You may also want to have some candles on your dresser or end tables to make it even sexier.
If you and your partner like it with the lights completely off, then opt to have small lamps or a few candles around. Just don’t forget to put it in strategic places where it won’t slip and fall (we sometimes get handsy, after all!).

3. Invest in Scents and Music

Yes, scents matter. It isn’t only for spicing up your bed with your partner, but it can also relax you after a long day (preparing for a hot night!), or energize you in the morning (hello to morning sex!). Opt for calming and beautiful scents such as lavender, citrus, vanilla, rosemary, lemon, or tea tree oil.
I recommend you to get an essential oil diffuser or lightly scented candles (better light AND scent!). Keep it to a minimum to avoid the overpowering smell.

Speaking of scents, you can also have some scented massage oil or lube handy. Sensual massages can help the both of you connect.

4. Keep It Cool

Even the temperature will determine the mood and sexiness of the bedroom! If it’s too hot, your male partner won’t be able to maintain his erection. If it’s too cold, both of you may end up freezing and not being able to do certain positions you’ve wanted to try.
While this is a matter of preference, I would recommend you to keep your room temperature between 19 to 21 degrees Celsius. Slightly cooler is key since you’ll need the cool air for a hot night together. Experiment with the temperatures and see what both of you prefer.

5. Organize the Room

I don’t think your partner would want to enter a messy room and stay in a sexy mood. To lessen the stress, lessen the clutter and keep your room simple. It’s there for only two purposes: Rest and sexy time. Organize everything and maybe remove the television or other gadgets that distract both of you. Except for the speakers, because I’m sure you’ll want to have good and relaxing tunes to keep you up and about. Choose whatever you and your partner prefer and create a playlist.
And if you’re planning on a hot night, you may want to keep the sex toys nearby to start experimenting!

In Conclusion

And there you have it! I hope that these five tips helped you out. So don’t wait any longer and start spicing up the romance again in the bedroom today.
